What energy does today carry?

Today’s card is the Monkey.

The energy of the Monkey is usually a lighthearted energy, that oozes self-confidence, high spirits, enthusiasm, friendliness, liveliness, and flexibility. However, it also has a deeper side where insight, mischief, quick wittedness, broodiness, anxiousness, and aggressiveness may flow.

Young Monkeys, much like young children, have the power to remind us of the carefree nature life once had, and how spontaneous we used to be. They have the ability to encourage us to embrace life through fresh new eyes and to go with the flow.

The older wise Monkey, much like the adult in many of us, has the power to remind us of how deeply we care about things, the firmness we provide, or how insistent we may be in the way we approach life. The knowledge and insight of the wise older Monkey is only powerful when we respond with love, flexibility, and friendliness, instead of rigidity or ‘all knowing’.

What ever is happening for us today the Monkeys reminds us that we have the choice to choose how we respond. While reminding us that the energy of such a choice has a flow on affect for others. May we embrace the energy that is for our highest good and the highest good of all.
