Life is such a journey, and one that often manages to get away with itself. Well at least it does in my world. The best of intentions get laid down, often only to be left behind.
My life feels like it's mirroring my computer at times. One moment it seems to be working out fine and then all of a sudden things start to stall, glitch and bluescreen. - Hit the 'reset' button is my way of coping with these moments, allowing me to get back to 'Finding Sanctuary' in my every day.
When I make the choice to 'Hit the Reset button', I give myself permission to acknowledge that I am only human, that I am imperfect and that life is a learning journey. I give myself space to be in the moment, let go of any expectations I have placed on myself and just be. I allow myself to breathe and feel into what ever it is that has brought me to this point. I show up with compassion and love for myself and gratitude for the progress I have made so far.
But most of all, I give myself permission to step away, step up, or step into, what's in front of me. With a more centred, mindful and accepting energy. An energy that is cleared, grounded, and protected. An energy that is more aligned with my heart and Soul, rather than my Ego.
Hitting the 'Reset' Button is an act of self care, a way to support my personal wellbeing and mental health. It is a powerful show of support to myself, that I matter, that I value me and that I have the ability to put myself first.
Today, I have chosen to hit the 'Reset' button on the expectations I have for myself and my journey with 'Finding Sanctuary'. Instead of being crippled in the energy of not achieving the things I set out to do, in the time frames I gave myself, or paralysing myself due to lack of flow; having not kept myself on track. I have chosen to hit the reset button and allow these expectations to drop away, be handed over to the universe and the divine. The release is real, ripping away the shackles I placed on myself, allowing my body to stand tall, my mind to be set free and the emotions to be washed away. In this beautiful moment, I feel so much gratitude for the life that I have, and the blessings I enjoy.
I also felt drawn to connect with the 'Mandala Healing Oracle Cards' by Denise Jarvie. These cards provide a 'Journey to your heart' and into healing. The card that Intuitively showed up today for me, provided the perfect message for my situation.

20. Mindfulness
This is all about being in the moment, having no judgement or the need to compare. Its about bringing awareness to the present with compassion and love, while accepting life just as it is, right now, right here.
So a great mindfulness exercise and journal prompt for today's card is:
Close your eyes and breathe, three deep breathes, then sit quietly for a few minutes. Feel into your body, notice now it feels, acknowledge any areas where your attention is drawn too. Sit with this feeling for a few minutes.
Open your eyes and journal your response to the following question:
As I sit in the present and feel into my body I am aware of .... (remember journal just facts, no judgements, no excuses, no ideas, just what you feel in the moment)
- You may like to use this exercise and Journal prompt both before and after you 'Hit the reset button' on an aspect of your life and see how different your body feels.
Now I am off to go do some journaling!
Enjoy!
