Monkey

What energy does today carry?

Today’s card is the Monkey.

The energy of the Monkey is usually a lighthearted energy, that oozes self-confidence, high spirits, enthusiasm, friendliness, liveliness, and flexibility. However, it also has a deeper side where insight, mischief, quick wittedness, broodiness, anxiousness, and aggressiveness may flow.

Young Monkeys, much like young children, have the power to remind us of the carefree nature life once had, and how spontaneous we used to be. They have the ability to encourage us to embrace life through fresh new eyes and to go with the flow.

The older wise Monkey, much like the adult in many of us, has the power to remind us of how deeply we care about things, the firmness we provide, or how insistent we may be in the way we approach life. The knowledge and insight of the wise older Monkey is only powerful when we respond with love, flexibility, and friendliness, instead of rigidity or ‘all knowing’.

What ever is happening for us today the Monkeys reminds us that we have the choice to choose how we respond. While reminding us that the energy of such a choice has a flow on affect for others. May we embrace the energy that is for our highest good and the highest good of all.

What does Soul want us to know today?

Today's card is the 'Qilin'.

The Qilin is a mythical creature in Chinese mythology, it has been portrayed in various ways throughout the centuries. The Qilin’s unique and sometimes frightening appearance, often does not match the gentle and peaceful temperament that it is known for.

The Qilin is associated with greatness, new beginnings and endings. It is considered to be aligned with the unicorn within Western beliefs. It is a magical and powerful creature. It appearance usually comes when the heralding in of good news is required, a need for protection arises or when one needs help in differentiating between the powers of good and evil.

Bee

Where should we place our focus today?

Today's card is the 'Bee'.

The ‘Bee’ comes to remind us that we need to be focused on the sweeter things in life, to look for the good and embrace that which enhances our lives today. Just as the Bee flies around collecting nectar and pollen to take back to their home or hive, ensuring they have as little impact on the world around them; We need to be mindful that as we go about our day, moving from one place to another, or from one activity to another, that we remain focused on the task at hand and tread lightly.

The ‘Bee’ symbolises a need for us to focus on what we need to do and to just go about our business and stay away from things that do not concern us. As today has the potential to draw our attention away from what we are doing to focus on, or defend things that may not be related to us specifically. We need to be mindful, that if we choose to defend ourselves, a loved one, our personal space or something similar, that we may have a sting in the manner in which we do this. When a Bee decides to defend itself or it territory, it uses the stinger in it tail, which means a certain death of it. So we are encouraged to be careful today that any response or actions we have, to anything we might choose to defend, support, or lend our time too, does not put an unintended end to a situation, or a severing to any relationship that we wish to maintain moving forward.
